Music Therapy
Our Music Therapy Program is one of the core components of the services we provide. We’ve found that music therapy helps individuals improve listening and attention skills, build self-confidence, express themselves creatively, and collaborate effectively in group settings. It also fosters key life skills such as communication and emotional regulation.
We often see the positive effects of music therapy extend into other programs and Members’ everyday lives. For Members with a dual diagnosis of a developmental disability and Alzheimer’s, music therapy has proven especially powerful. It can “bring them back” for moments in time, helping to reduce anxiety and ease distress.
Music Therapy sessions are offered on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM.
